The STI System was developed for measuring the product diameters in the Food Industry, with the goal of automatically adjusting the operating parameters of the machine where the products are produced, depending on their size. It can also detect issues that indicate mechanical misalignment.

The system is based on proprietary technology that analyzes images captured by an industrial camera. The software processes the results and performs calculations using smart algorithms to detect trends and generate a unique result, which is fed back to the machine’s PLC as a process control variable using the Ethernet/IP protocol.

The developed software also exposes all measurement results using the Modbus TCP protocol. This data is acquired by the plant’s Information System (AVEVA PI System) for statistical process analysis.
