The STI System is a vision-based solution developed to measure product diameters in real time in the food industry. Its primary objective is to optimize production by automatically adjusting machine parameters based on the size of the product, while also detecting mechanical misalignments.
Using proprietary technology, the STI System captures images through an industrial-grade camera. The software processes these images with smart algorithms that analyze size trends, detect anomalies, and generate actionable data. This data is then used to automatically adjust the equipment’s parameters by feeding a control signal to the machine’s PLC via Ethernet/IP protocol.
Additionally, all measurement data is published using Modbus TCP, allowing seamless integration with the plant’s Information System (e.g., AVEVA PI System) for statistical process analysis, traceability, and performance monitoring.
