Oxygen Level Indicator Panel for Hospitals

,

In 2012, we worked very closely with the Praxair Mexico to obtain a safe and practical solution that would indicate the levels of Oxygen reserves in clinics and hospitals. The aim was to have a panel with visual indication and an audible alarm in the nursing area.

Since the beginning of the project in 2006, the panel has been updated to reach the version we currently manufacture to meet our client’s needs.

The current version is assembled in a fiberglass cabinet for clean environments and features a custom-developed electronic board that has the necessary inputs and outputs, as well as the operating logic embedded in a microcontroller. This design, in addition to being simple and compact, is highly reliable as the circuits and the operating logic cannot be altered.

The GBH panel is used in medical oxygen backup systems in clinics and hospitals in Mexico. When any of the backup levels falls below the threshold established by the technicians, the panel indicates which backup is at a low level by means of a light.

Besides providing visual alarms, it also generates an audible alarm to ensure that the hospital or clinic staff is immediately aware of the situation. The audible alarm can be silenced for a predetermined period and will sound again once the time has elapsed if the alarm is still active.
