Maximizing efficiency and visibility across 38 wind turbines
In large-scale wind farms, where dozens of turbines operate simultaneously, maintaining high efficiency and operational reliability requires accurate, centralized, and real-time monitoring. Our client, managing a wind farm with 38 turbines.
SIOS designed and implemented a real-time monitoring and reporting platform, using the AVEVA PI System as the backbone for data acquisition and analysis. The solution included:
* PI Server for centralized data collection and historization
* PI DataLink for integration with Excel and other analytical environments
* PI ProcessBook and PI Vision for visual dashboards and trend analysis
* WEBAIP and IIS to deploy dashboards via a secure web interface
* Native mobile applications for remote access to KPIs and reports
The system was designed to be scalable, secure, and accessible from any location ensuring constant oversight of wind farm performance.
The Benefits
* Real time visibility
* Centralized access to data from all 38 turbines, improving operational control
* Automated energy reporting
* Faster response to anomalies, reducing downtime and maintenance delays
* Remote monitoring
The implementation of this system provided the client with a robust digital infrastructure to enable data driven, decision making and increase the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy production.
